A Trolley Problem Is a Trolley Opportunity

Move over, Craiyon, I found a new AI toy to play with. The idea behing GPTrolley is simple: give the AI two things to save and it’ll be forced to choose one. I’m going to type in things that relate to my webcomic. Let’s start with the comic versions of me and my brother:

Huh, I guess I picked a good name to ensure my survival. Speaking of Bright Side, let’s type in two songs that contain that phrase:

I would argue that “Mr. Brightside” also promotes positive thinking, but you do you, AI. Next up, let’s type in the two ideas that are a couple in my comic. You like relationship drama, right?

Normally I would complain that getting rid of one will also eliminate the other, but I did force AI to pick one, so I only have myself to blame. What if I made it choose between less pleasant ideas?

Despair, you got another victory. You’re on a roll. Also, I love how ChatGPT unintentionally explained the moral of my latest story.

And that’s it. I wanted it to be five things, but while I was making this post, I got a message that GPTrolley ran out of funds. Bad timing, I know. Here’s a link to the site, maybe it’s functional again at the time you’re reading this.
