More Lighthearted Theories

When I browse the internet, I occasionally see this Tumblr post. You’ve probably seen it too:

Sounds like a fun concept. It inspired me to make a few lighthearted theories about dark pieces of media. Just to be clear, I don’t believe any of these are true, I’m just doing this for fun. Let’s begin.

The SCP Foundation: A dad works in a zoo. In order to look cool, his kid makes up stories about various supernatural beasts that their father keeps from the world. Eventually, their friends start making up their own SCPs.

Portal: A girl doesn't like her IT teacher. She imagines her as an evil AI that makes her go through all kinds of dangerous tests. Wheatley is one of the substitute teachers.

South Park: Four immature boys write down whatever vulgar nonsense they come up with in a shared notebook. They keep the tradition going into adulthood. That's why the episodes started tackling more serious topics as the show went on.

The Amazing Digital Circus: A little girl played a videogame that’s cute on the surface, but too scary for her. She's having nightmares from playing it. Don't worry, she'll forget about it in a few days.

The Last of Us: A father and his daughter arrive at a playground, but no one’s there. They start pretending they're some of the last few survivors of the apocalypse.

Dim & Bright: No one is actually as dumb and irresponsible as they appear. The comic is from Pi Brain's point of view and he sees everyone as worse than they really are.

Wait, how did that last one get in here?
