Temporary Person, Eternal Love
Last year on Pride Month, I drew a short comic where Freedom was singing a song to Safety. If you’re curious, here it is. I’m a little late this year, but I still wanted to draw something. This time, Safety is singing to Freedom. Alan Walker’s “Alone” is not a love song, but I can still imagine Safety singing it.
Even though ideas have very long lives (especially simple ones like Safety), none of them are truly immortal. One day, humanity will go extinct and ideas will go down with them. Safety doesn’t know what will happen to her when that day comes. Do ideas have an afterlife? When she’s with Freedom, she can put those worries to rest for a while. Even if her time on Earth isn’t forever, she’s glad she has Freedom to spend it with.
