I’ve had this post in the backlog for a while already. It’s just that I always had something else I wanted to share first. Nevertheless, it’s time for this post to see the light of day. For those not in the know, “Comment Highlights” is a series where I react to interesting comments I haven’t replied to.

Comic 117: The First Tool in History

You’re not far from the truth, Quinn. I’ve learned in college that Ancient Greek philosophers claimed that, because written text reduces the need for memorization, it would lead to human minds degrading. I guess some things never change.

Comic 119: To Change One’s Mind

I made a comic where a female character claimed that putting on new underwear was one of the best feelings in the world (and no, it wasn’t that kind of comic). One of the comments begged to differ:

I guess being a male writer comes with some limitations. Oh well, nobody can do everything.

Comic 124: Unwanted Guest

Last December, I had a character accuse Santa of spreading COVID (which probably explains why he didn’t get me anything). Some comments tried to defend Santa, such as:

Now that I think about it, Santa’s been around for a long time. He’s probably gotten over all kinds of diseases. Think of what we could discover if we harvested his blood!

He’s probably not gonna come to my place this year either.

Comic 129: All in a Year’s Work

We’re going from Christmas to New Year. Brad Joke claimed all the problems in 2020 were his fault, despite how impossible that is. One person disagreed, however:

I’d love to blame all the world problems on one person, but it’s not that simple. I know communication devices might make you think otherwise, but the world is a big place.

Comic 140: Found a Fall Guy

Listen here, Mickey Mouse shows his face everywhere and Disney is one of the most successful companies in the world. He’s gotta be doing something right. And no, I’m not letting him buy my comic.

And those are all the comments I have for today. Considering how I stopped at 140, I still have a lot of comment sections to go through. Not that I’m complaining, I need something to post every Wednesday.
