Comment Highlights 14

This Wednesday, I wanted to post an update on the game I’m making. To be more specific, I wanted to show off the first cutscene of the game, but the work is taking longer than I thought. Oh well, Murphy’s law. I’ll post the video next Wednesay. Today I’ll highlight some comments that I found interesting, but didn’t reply to the first time around.

The Robot and the Grapes

On April 20th, I drew a short comic where a prisoner smoked weed. One of the comments wondered how logical that was.

Considering how much violence there is in prisons, letting inmates smoke weed doesn’t sound like the worst idea. There has to be at least one prison psychologist who considered it.

Comic 276: Puppy with No Power

In this comic, Anne Cap wasn’t willing to give her hamburger to a begging puppy, but she was willing to pet a snake. Obviously, some people were not happy about the former.

This is why I decided to draw the puppy with a collar. Could you imagine the backlash if she refused to give food to a stray dog?

On the other hand, in real life, it’s a bad idea to feed wild or stray animals. You probably don’t know what’s good or bad for them.

Comic 278: Deistic Date

For context, Safety was trying to be romantic with Freedom, but Freedom ruined it with her preaching. Despite the goof, one of the comments was still happy.

Like I said before, the romantic moments between Freedom and Safety aren’t very common. I guess Yira was just taking what she can get. Maybe I can do something for Valentine’s Day.

Fanart: Buff Side

About a year and half ago, a few people drew me as a muscular man and sent the picture to me. No, I’m not going to explain why; if you know, you know. This was one of the comments.

I might disappoint some people with this, but I don’t want to pair up my self-insert with a purely fictional woman. If you want to ship them, that’s fine, but I won’t make it canon. It would look like I’m trying to fulfil some kind of fantasy. The only way my self-insert will get a girlfriend is if I got one in real life and she was okay with me putting her in my comic.

Comic 281: The Plan in on Point

When I revealed what Tamashii’s mom looks like, people instantly took a liking to her. Here’s one of the more family friendly comments.

There’s a bit of a story behind it. My first Pokemon game was Pokemon Pearl. I used the hairstyle of the protagonist’s mom as inspiration. I don’t know why, I guess it was unusual enough to stick in my mind.

And we’re done for today. I repeat, I’ll post an update about the game next Wednesday. I’m excited about it. If I do everything right, “Light on My Feet” will look like a prototype in comparison.
